The Latvian Ministry of Internal Affairs will transfer 12 drones to the Ukrainian police, reported by Delfi

This move is part of their ongoing support for Ukraine, with discussions between the Latvian Minister of Internal Affairs, Rihards Kozlovskis, and the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, addressing the current situation in Ukraine and assistance to its population. The Latvian Ministry of Internal Affairs, State Police, State Border Guard, and State Fire and Rescue Service maintain regular contact with Ukrainian government agencies to provide necessary support.

During the meeting with Klymenko, Kozlovskis confirmed that the Latvian Ministry of Internal Affairs will provide 12 unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) to the Ukrainian National Police free of charge.

The delivery of the drones to Ukraine, handed over by the State Police and the State Fire and Rescue Service, will be organized by the State Fire and Rescue Service. Kozlovskis, along with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Dmitri Trofimov, and the head of the State Border Guard, General Guntis Pujats, met in Vilnius with the Ministers of Internal Affairs and the heads of border services from the Baltic countries, Norway, Poland, Finland, and Ukraine to discuss regional security and joint actions.
