In January-May 2021, the Odessa region exported goods worth 506.4 million US dollars (source: Odessa regional department of statistics).
Compared to the same period last year, exports decreased by $ 18 million (-3.4%).
Imports amounted to $ 972.2 million, an increase of 24.9% compared to 2020, or $ 193.5 million. Negative balance: $ 465.8 million (in January-May 2020 it was $ 254.2 million).
Foreign trade operations were carried out with partners from 151 countries of the world. 26.8% of exports (135.6 million dollars) and 20.1% of imports (195.8 million) fell on the countries of the European Union.
The People's Republic of China remains the second most important partner. It accounted for 9.4% of exports ($ 47.5 million) and 18.6% of imports ($ 180.8 million). The third place in terms of exports is held by the Russian Federation (5.1%, or $ 26 million), in fourth place is India (4.3%, or $ 21.5 million).
In terms of imports, the United States is in third place (17.7%, or almost $ 172 million), followed by Turkey (11%, or $ 107.4 million).
