At the initiative and under the implementation of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the official opening of the Ukrainian Training and Testing Complex (UTTC) for the development of advanced technologies in the fields of mine action, civil protection, and environmental safety took place.

On the first day of the range’s operation, products of domestic enterprises were presented there, along with exhibitions from scientific institutions and techno-industrial clusters.

The training and testing complex includes tracks and obstacle courses for light and heavy mechanized demining equipment, testing grounds for unmanned aerial and ground robotic systems, metal detectors, special demining equipment, civil protection facilities, and environmental monitoring equipment.

It is here that experience in mine action, civil protection, and environmental safety will be accumulated, along with research activities and production capabilities for the development, testing, and implementation of cutting-edge innovative projects.

The opening of the range was attended by demining specialists from Ukraine’s security and defense forces, representatives of central and local executive authorities, partner countries, businesses, international organizations, and mine action operators.

“This complex is a unique platform for both practical use and for interagency and international cooperation, testing domestic and foreign equipment in the areas of mine action, civil protection, and environmental safety,” said Colonel Ruslan Berehulia, Head of the Main Directorate for Mine Action, Civil Protection, and Environmental Safety.
