The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has announced the creation of an AI-avatar named Victoria. It will voice official statements from the department regarding Ukrainians abroad.
According to ministry representatives, the development of the virtual assistant took about a month. The project was implemented with the participation of a real person who read the text for the development of the AI assistant. With this development, the MFA aims to expedite the dissemination of information. For example, the tool may be needed in cases of road accidents involving Ukrainians abroad, or in the event of pirates capturing Ukrainian sailors, and so on.
"War is happening in the time of revolutionary technological changes," he says. "We must be at the forefront of these transformations to win," said Dmytro Kuleba
According to representatives of the Ukrainian MFA, the department will be the first to use the AI-avatar in official communications. To verify the authenticity of the video, in the future, developers will add a QR code leading to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, where the official statement will be posted.
The development of the Victoria avatar was carried out by the non-governmental organization Nazovni Tech, with implementation by The Game Changers NGO.
