On the instructions of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, on July 8, Deputy Minister Yevhen Perebyinis, along with 33 heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine, visited one of Ukraine's largest children's hospitals, Okhmatdyt, which suffered significant damage from a Russian missile strike.
The delegation of foreign ambassadors had the opportunity to witness firsthand the consequences of the barbaric missile strike by Russia on the medical facility, where civilians, including children undergoing treatment for cancer and other serious illnesses, were present.
Yevhen Perebyinis called on representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations to decisively respond to this horrific war crime and to make every effort to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
Present at the scene were Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko and the director of Okhmatdyt, Volodymyr Zhovnir, who briefed the foreign diplomats on the consequences of the Russian terror.
The delegation included heads and representatives of diplomatic missions from the EU, NATO, UNDP, UNICEF, Azerbaijan, Austria, Argentina, Armenia, Vietnam, Greece, Indonesia, Spain, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Moldova, the Netherlands, Norway, North Macedonia, Poland, the Holy See, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sudan, Turkey, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Switzerland, Sweden, and Japan.
