The National Agency for Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) has sent letters to companies that have been included in the list of international sponsors of the war. The agency proposes that the executives of these companies visit Ukraine to witness the consequences of Russian aggression firsthand and discuss the exit strategies for their businesses from Russia.

"If someone thinks that the war is far away, it is not so. This war concerns everyone, and its consequences are felt worldwide. We want to vividly show the international business community where their taxes are going, which they are paying to a state-terrorist. Therefore, we invite the leadership of companies from the list of war sponsors to visit Ukraine. We are ready to demonstrate the horror that Russia has brought to our land and continues to do so," said the head of NAPC, Oleksandr Novikov.

The appeal also mentions that NAPC is open to dialogue regarding the strategies of companies from the list of war sponsors for exiting Russia. The agency hopes to hear relevant public statements from these companies condemning Russian aggression against Ukraine and to see corporate decisions regarding business activities in Russia (such as scaling down operations or exiting the market).

This initiative fully aligns with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, which responsible enterprises are expected to adhere to. According to these principles, in order to assess human rights risks, business enterprises should, among other things, engage in meaningful consultations with potentially affected groups and other relevant stakeholders.
