The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, stated that Russian special services provided the Serbian government with information about possible incidents during protests in Belgrade. She made this statement during an interview on the Pink television channel.

Brnabić claims to have personally communicated with Western diplomats to inform them of the information provided by Russian special services, but according to her, they did not take these data seriously.

"We had information from services that warned us. First and foremost, this information was provided to us by Russian special services, but (representatives of Western countries) accused us of spreading disinformation and claimed that it was nonsense. They laughed, and, as the president (Aleksandar Vučić) said, some took it seriously, some wanted to help, and many knew and didn't want to help," said Brnabić.

She also compared the events in Belgrade to the Ukrainian Euromaidan, stating that there would be no new Maidan in Serbia.

Additionally, the Serbian Prime Minister accused the opposition coalition "Serbia Against Violence" of attempting "violent destabilization of the state."

The protest action against the results of the parliamentary elections took place in Belgrade the night before, with participants attempting to break into the city hall.

Thousands gathered in front of the Belgrade City Hall at the invitation of the opposition coalition "Serbia Against Violence." This was the seventh protest against the results of the parliamentary elections in Serbia, which, according to the opposition, were marred by numerous irregularities.

Opposition representatives wanted to speak from the city hall balcony, but the police prevented them from doing so, using tear gas.

To recap, the early elections in Serbia resulted in a victory for the political forces of President Aleksandar Vučić.

The opposition alliance "Serbia Against Violence" reported serious violations of electoral laws in the elections for the Belgrade City Council. Since then, hundreds of SPN supporters have been protesting near the State Election Commission in Belgrade.
