The Russian army is reinforcing its units in southern Ukraine with personnel and equipment from both Crimea and a newly constructed railway branch connecting parts of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions to Russia through Donetsk, according to the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn.
"Reinforcements of personnel, as well as the transfer of equipment and weapons, are being carried out by the enemy from both Crimea and the railway branch they completed at the end of 2024 and have already put into operation. Additionally, they are using all other types of transportation, including road transport. There are also road routes from Crimea and Russia along the Azov coast, near Mariupol, then further to Melitopol and Berdyansk. Therefore, they are using a combined route system. The enemy knows that we are trying to target their logistical routes and strike at their logistical hubs," noted Voloshyn.
In response to a question about the destruction of the railway branch built by the enemy, the spokesperson mentioned that several strikes have been made against it, but the enemy quickly restores the damaged sections.
