On the night of Wednesday, December 13, explosions occurred in Kyiv, followed by an air raid alarm. The Russians attacked the capital with ballistic missiles from the S-400 complex, and in several areas, fires broke out in residential buildings due to falling shrapnel. There are reports of 53 casualties. President's Office Head Andriy Yermak reported this.

"At the moment, it is known that the enemy could strike Kyiv with 48N6 missiles from the S-400 complex," he noted.

Yermak added that the Russians targeted a critical infrastructure object. He did not specify exactly which one but mentioned, "We know where they are hitting."

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, as of 07:30, 53 people were affected by the overnight RF attack. Twenty of them, including two children, were hospitalized. Thirty-three of the victims received medical assistance on the spot, including six children.

Kyiv City Emergency Medical Service Chief Sergiy Popko noted that as a result of the air defense system's work to intercept enemy aerial targets in Kyiv, there were about ten cases of shrapnel falling.

There is no information about fatalities. As of 06:00, 51 affected individuals were recorded, including six children. The oldest victim is 80 years old, and the youngest is 5 years old. All received medical assistance.

Additionally, as reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, during the night attack on the capital, there was, according to preliminary information, a missile impact on the territory of one of the city's hospitals. Several windows in the facility's buildings were blown out, and one person was injured.

The city mayor informed that in the Dniprovskyi district, cars are on fire in the courtyard of a residential building. Emergency services are heading to the scene.

Later, he mentioned that missile debris damaged the facade of a residential building. Evacuation of residents is underway. Missile fragments also fell on a private residence in the Dniprovskyi district, where a fire is being extinguished.

According to his statement, in one of the children's hospitals in the Dniprovskyi district, windows were blown out and the central entrance to the facility was damaged. Currently, there are no reported injuries.

Additionally, due to the falling debris of the missile on the road, there was damage to the water supply network. Emergency crews are working on-site to promptly eliminate the damage.

"After the air defense systems worked to intercept enemy targets over Kyiv, numerous fragments fell on the left bank of the city. In particular, in the Dniprovskyi district, there is a reported fire in a multi-story residential building, with a fire on the balcony of the 7th floor. Additionally, four cars in the courtyard are on fire. Emergency services are responding to calls," reported Popko.
