Russia struck the center of Sumy. There is one dead and many injured.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration and the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, on Telegram.

Today, there was a Russian shelling in the center of Sumy. An explosion occurred in the central part of the city.

 

 

Russia hit civilian transport — two cars burned as a result of the strike, with one person killed and others injured.

Later, it became known that one person died as a result of the attack. Many injured are being taken to medical facilities in the regional center.

Rescuers and emergency services are working on site. The consequences of the strike are being clarified.

UPDATE

In Sumy, the number of people killed in a Russian strike has risen to three, with another 16 injured.

The State Emergency Service reported the update on Telegram.

In one of the city’s districts, a shell hit the road surface. As a result of the explosion, a car caught fire, which was quickly extinguished.

In another neighborhood, a residential apartment building was damaged—without large-scale destruction or fire. Three private homes, a warehouse, a garage, four cars, and one of the hospital buildings were also damaged. Area inspections are ongoing.
