Cyber ​​specialists of the Security Service stopped the destructive activities of the network of agitators managed by the special services of the Russian Federation, which assisted the militants of the terrorist organization "LPR" in carrying out subversive activities against Ukraine.

According to the available information, the propagandists followed the clear instructions of curators from the so-called "Department of Humanitarian Operations of the Luhansk People's Republic", which is under the control of the Russian special services.

Criminals tried to disperse fake and destructive content as widely as possible through Internet communities exclusively in the Lviv region. Their main goal was to reach as many local audiences as possible.

Using fake profiles on social networks and affiliated sites, they justified the crimes of the Russian Federation and spread propaganda materials and pro-Russian narratives.

According to the investigation, the militants "hired" one of the defendants to remotely perform the functions of an IT specialist of the "LNR" pseudo-management.

It was found that this person is the founder and administrator of the anti-Ukrainian community "Lviv People's Republic". And he also filled anti-Ukrainian information resources that his Russian curators had identified for him, including the VoskhodInfo website.

During searches of his residence, law enforcement officers found computer equipment with evidence of illegal activity and cooperation with the occupiers on a commercial basis.

The court decided that he was remanded in custody without bail.

Other participants in the criminal proceedings are also in the SBU's field of view, a notice of suspicion is being prepared for them in absentia, and measures are being taken to bring them to justice.
