The SBU detained the agent who was correcting of missile strikes at Kryvyi Rih airport
The security service strengthened counter-subversive measures in the front-line areas of the south and detained an FSB agent during operational training.
He became an official of one of the most powerful industrial giants in the region. Since the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, the man has been collecting intelligence on the deployment and movement of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the south.
In addition, the attacker recorded the geolocations of critical infrastructure objects and strategically important locations, including Kryvyi Rih International Airport.
He transmitted the collected intelligence to the occupiers through closed communication channels. In his “report,” he displayed the coordinates on electronic maps concerning the area and a detailed description of the buildings and the surrounding area.
The agent also forwarded to the aggressors the materials of covert photo and video recordings of the location and appearance of these objects.
The enemy used the received information to carry out massive shelling.
Among other facts, the suspect’s involvement in adjusting the missile attack on the Kryvyi Rih airport, which took place on March 10, is being checked.
According to the investigation, this man came to the attention of the Russian special services as an active user of anonymous Telegram channels and social networks banned in Ukraine. On these resources, he publicly called to support the invaders and justified their crimes.
During searches of the attacker’s place of residence, law enforcement officers discovered the means of communication he used to communicate with his Russian supervisor. The correspondence contains the facts of receiving agency tasks and reports on their execution.
So far, SBU investigators have informed the detainee of suspicion of treason committed under martial law. The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of detention.
