Since the beginning of the war, the SBU has opened more than 6,000 criminal proceedings for crimes against Ukraine. Among this array of cases, more than 1,000 concern encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine and attempts to seize state power.

Among the recent special operations conducted by the SBU to neutralize the Russian agency, in particular, the following:

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region:

SBU counterintelligence detained one of Medvedchuk's party leaders. According to the investigation, he was preparing to overthrow the constitutional order in Ukraine, coordinating his actions with the Russian secret services.

The attacker developed the concept of "people's autocracy", which provided for the forcible seizure of government, the destruction of the financial and economic system, and the state border change. These ideas were promoted through an extensive network of controlled public organizations.

It is also established that in 2014 the malefactor addressed the administration of the President of the Russian Federation regarding a personal reception: to "report" on the preparation of subversive activities in Ukraine.

During searches of the malefactor's whereabouts, law enforcement officers found:

  • documentation and stamps of "public organizations";
  • forbidden symbols;
  • a letter from the administration of the President of the Russian Federation about the received appeal;
  • computer equipment and draft records with evidence of criminal acts.

Also, in the capital, the activities of a powerful proxy center of the Russian special services have been blocked. The occupiers used it for cyberattacks on Ukraine's state information resources and to spread hostile propaganda.

According to the investigation, two Kyivans are involved in subversive activities. They created a software-hardware complex that allowed them to obtain IP addresses of Ukrainian telecom operators remotely. Thus, the enemy had access to the Internet from Russia under the guise of Ukrainian users. The organizers received funding through payment systems banned in Ukraine.

During searches in the offices and apartments of the attackers, more than 2,000 SIM cards of Ukrainian telecom operators and a special equipment management server were found.

In the Luhansk region:

In cooperation with the occupiers, the head of one of the departments of the Stanychno-Luhansk military-civil administration was exposed.

She voluntarily became a so-called "investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of the People's Republic of Luhansk" and carried out illegal persecution of citizens in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region.

In the Poltava region:

The scheme of obtaining illegal benefits for the unimpeded import of industrial products was eliminated. The deputy head of the local customs post was detained during the investigation.

The official demanded money from the head of the enterprise, "guaranteeing" unimpeded customs clearance of manufactured goods.

The issue of notifying the detainee of the suspicion and choosing a measure of restraint is currently being resolved.

The SBU continues to work systematically to identify all those involved in crimes against Ukraine's national security.
