The British Academy of Television and Film Arts announced the nominees for the BAFTA Awards, and among them is the film "Rock, Paper, Scissors" by Franz Bum, starring Oleksandr Rudynskyi in the lead role.
On January 15, the British Academy of Television and Film Arts released the list of nominees for the prestigious BAFTA award. The film "Rock, Paper, Scissors," directed by Franz Bum, was nominated in the "Best British Short Film" category.
The film is based on real events that took place in Ukraine in February 2022. Ukrainian actor Oleksandr Rudynskyi plays the lead role in the film.
"This is a story that happened in real life. Unfortunately. A story that happened to a young man, Ivan, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. A story after which he voluntarily joined the military. He then went to study in England and, by chance, met a young director, Franz, who was 23 at the time of filming. Now, this film is nominated for a BAFTA, and this story will forever remain in our memory," Rudynskyi commented.
He also expressed his gratitude to the entire team for their work together.
