The Speaker of the lower house of the Swiss Parliament, Maya Riniker, visited Ukraine on a multi-day trip during which she visited Kyiv and Kharkiv.
This was reported on the official X account of the Swiss Parliament.
The Speaker of the Swiss National Council was in Ukraine on July 7-8.
“As the President of the National Council, it is important for me to see a detailed picture and receive ‘first-hand’ information about the situation in Ukraine and the status of Swiss projects,” she said.
In Kyiv, Riniker met with her Ukrainian counterpart Ruslan Stefanchuk and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
On the second day, she traveled to Kharkiv, where she spoke with local authorities and representatives of Swiss-supported projects. In the Kharkiv region, Switzerland provides support to various projects related to humanitarian aid, demining, and vocational training.
