British Prime Minister Keir Starmer plans to visit Warsaw on Friday, January 17, for talks with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Following the discussions, the two countries will begin work on a new defense and security agreement.
This was announced by Starmer’s office.
"The UK and Poland are longstanding allies and our co-operation stretches back for generations," Prime Minister Keir Starmer said
According to the statement, the agreement aims to enhance military cooperation to protect Europe from Russian aggression and to strengthen efforts against disinformation and hybrid threats.
Additionally, the countries will collaborate to combat human trafficking gangs, ensure energy supply security, and protect critical infrastructure.
"With ever-increasing threats to Europe’s security, now is the time to take our partnership to the next level, so we can ensure we’re tackling the big issues that rebound on the British people at home – from Putin’s aggression to the vile people smuggling gangs trading in human misery," Prime Minister said.
