The UK has ordered multi-purpose Altius 600M and Altius 700M drones for Ukraine, designed for reconnaissance and strike missions.

This was announced by UK Defense Minister John Healey during a visit to the office of the manufacturer, Anduril, in the USA.

The Defence Equipment & Support procurement service, funded by the “International Fund for Ukraine,” signed several contracts worth £30 million for the delivery of Altius 600M and heavier Altius 700M drone systems.

Anduril UK, the British subsidiary of the manufacturer, will begin supplying drones, launchers, and spare parts to Ukraine in the coming months under the contract.

"Anduril UK is proud to partner with the UK Government, working hand in glove to deliver vital capabilities for the UK and its Allies. Our focus on developing and deploying technology where and when it’s needed is at the core of everything we do - from the rapid delivery of Altius to Ukraine to the expansion of our presence here in the UK. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with the Ministry of Defence to protect our nation and our allies," said Dr Rich Drake, MD of Anduril UK and Europe.

“Ukraine’s armed forces will be backed by more advanced attack drones to tackle Russian aggression in the Black Sea, following a deal struck by the UK government and an Anglo-American defence tech company,” stated the country’s defense ministry.

Ukraine has been using Altius 600M drones in its war against Russia since 2023, after they were ordered by the US government as part of international military aid.
