The U.S. government has allocated a second direct loan of $2 billion to Poland as foreign military financing to strengthen NATO's eastern flank amidst Russian aggression in Europe.

This was announced by U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller.

"Poland is a steadfast ally of the United States, and this agreement will further strengthen NATO's eastern flank," said the U.S. administration representative.

He recalled that Poland is implementing a large-scale military modernization program, including the purchase of American equipment, such as F-35 aircraft, Patriot missile systems, and Abrams main battle tanks.

Miller also emphasized that Poland leads Europe among Alliance countries in defense contributions, spending 4% of its GDP on this. Additionally, thousands of U.S. and allied troops are stationed in Poland.
