The United States has reported to the UN that North Korea intends to transfer additional ballistic missiles to Russia, supplementing over 100 already delivered, which Russia has used against Ukrainian cities.

This statement was made on Wednesday during a UN Security Council meeting by Robert Wood, the U.S. Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN.

"North Korea is preparing to deliver even more ballistic missiles," said Wood.

He noted that Pyongyang had previously illegally transferred over 18,000 containers of ammunition and related materials, as well as more than 100 ballistic missiles.

"All of these have been used to strike populated areas, such as Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia," Wood added.

He also highlighted U.S. intelligence indicating that a large number of North Korean-made 170mm self-propelled artillery systems and 240mm multiple-launch rocket systems are being introduced into the conflict.

In return, Russia has reportedly provided North Korea with air defense systems, as well as other supplies, including fuel, technology, and dual-use equipment.

Wood called attention to China's influence over Pyongyang, urging Beijing to "immediately leverage its influence to prevent further escalation of the conflict."

He also criticized the Kremlin for neglecting its responsibilities as a permanent member of the Security Council, stating that its actions undermine international peace and security.
