The Parliament dismissed Mykola Solskyi from the position of Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.

This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Yaroslav Zheleznyak. 273 members of parliament voted for the respective decision.

Solskyi, who is suspected of involvement in land fraud amounting to 500 million, submitted his resignation letter on April 25.

The former head of the parliamentary agrarian committee and the current Minister of Agrarian Policy, Mykola Solskyi, was caught attempting to seize state land worth 291 million UAH and attempting to seize another 190 million UAH worth of land. In addition to Solskyi, suspicion in the land fraud case was also handed to his deputy, Markiyan Dmytrashevych, who is currently on a business trip abroad due to the start of negotiations between Ukraine and the EU regarding the agrarian sector.

According to information from a source close to Solskyi, he is being investigated for episodes from 2017-2018 when he was practicing law. The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Mykola Solskyi, commented on the announcement of suspicion by NABU and confirmed that the case against him relates to the period of 2017-2018. The defense team of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Mykola Solskyi, will appeal the court's decision. Meanwhile, Solskyi remains the minister and will be able to return to his duties after being released from custody.

On April 26, the Higher Anti-Corruption Court ordered preventive detention for the Minister of Agrarian Policy, Mykola Solskyi. Later, bail in the amount of 75.7 million UAH was posted for the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola Solskyi. He was released from custody.

The Verkhovna Rada also adopted a decision to dismiss Oleksandr Kubrakov from the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Ukraine - Minister of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine.

This was also announced by Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

"The Parliament dismissed Oleksandr Kubrakov from the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Ukraine - Minister of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine. Votes in favor - 272," he reported.

Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, did not discuss the resolution regarding his dismissal with the leadership of the 'Servant of the People' faction or with the head of the government, Denys Shmyhal. He was not invited to the faction's meeting or the relevant committee.

Members of Parliament from the 'Servant of the People' party decided during the faction's meeting on Wednesday to split the Ministry of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure into two separate departments.
