Instead of a large-scale folk festival with an abundance of national dishes and a variety of Bessarabian wines, an online festival was held. The Rkatsiteli wine of 2018 by Oleg Kosenko (“IZMAIL WINE”, Izmail) won the highest rating.

The only festival event that took place "offline" was the tasting of wine samples presented at the festival by amateur winemakers.

This year 99 samples from 19 winemakers from several districts of the Odessa region were submitted for tasting. However, for evaluation by the tasting committee, 92 samples were allowed to participate in the competition and one out of competition.

Having tasted the presented samples of young wines and wines of the past, the commission came to the conclusion that the skill of Ukrainian winemakers is growing every year. All members of the tasting committee noted that both the quality of the wines and the approach of their authors to their favorite business pleasantly surprised them and clearly demonstrated their progress.

An objective indicator of the high quality of the wines presented for blind tasting was the decision to award diplomas for high quality all wines that scored 8 points and above, of which there were quite a lot this year

The Rkatsiteli wine of 2018 by Oleg Kosenko ("IZMAIL_WINE", Izmail) won the highest rating during the tasting. So it can be safely called the best wine of the past wine festival.

We would like to add that special Diplomas will be awarded to Natalya Shestova (Izmail), Sergey Gagauz (Kubey village, Bolgradskiy district) and Mikhail Fuchedzhi (Kubey village, Bolgradskiy district) for regular and steady maintenance of the regional brand - wine "Odessa Black".

The organizers will hand over to the laureates and diploma winners of the festival diplomas and prizes of the festival.
