Ukrainian athletes won two awards at an international tournament "11° Meeting Internazionale “Città di Savona” in Savona, Italy.

In May last year, Olga Lyakhova became a mother, giving birth to a daughter, Nicole. Before the start of the season, Anna Ryzhikova spoke about the dedication with which Olga works in training and how she inspires her and other athletes with her example. And such persistence gave a results at the first Lyakhova tournament in almost two years.

In Savona, Lyakhova not only won the 800-meter run, but did so in a fierce battle and with a competition record (2: 01.58 minutes), two-hundredths of a second ahead of Slovenian Anita Horvat.

Anna Ryzhikova competed in the crown distance for herself - 400 meters with barriers. At the first start of the summer season, she finished second (55.61 s). Only the Italian Aiomide Folorunso ran faster (55.29 s).
