In the Odessa region, an energy facility was damaged during a Russian attack on the night of December 2, and critical infrastructure is temporarily operating on generators.
The head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Oleh Kiper, announced this on Telegram.
According to him, during the night the enemy launched another massive strike on the south of the Odessa region using Shahed-type UAVs. The targets were, once again, civilian and energy infrastructure facilities. Air defense forces were in operation.
An energy facility, an administrative building, and several private homes were damaged. Fires were promptly extinguished by rescuers, but the attack caused power outages. No casualties or injuries were reported.
A headquarters for emergency response is working at the site. Critical infrastructure is temporarily running on generators.
The DTEK Group reported on Telegram that, due to the Russian attack on the night of December 2 and the damage to an energy facility, 36,300 customers in the Odessa region were left without power, and another 8,000 households were switched to backup circuits.
Energy workers are already operating in reinforced mode to restore electricity as quickly as possible.
The Izmail District State Administration, in turn, reported that as a result of the attack, part of the Safyanivska community and the city of Izmail were left without power.
