During the night of January 7 (from 18:00 on January 6), the Russian forces carried out an attack using one Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from Taganrog, Russian Federation, as well as 95 attack UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types and drones of other types from the following directions: Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Oryol (Russian Federation), Hvardiiske (occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea), and Donetsk (ccupied territory of Ukraine). About 60 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 07:30, air defense forces shot down or suppressed one ballistic missile and 81 UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as drones of other types, in the north, center, and east of the country.
Impacts by 14 attack UAVs were recorded at 8 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at 5 locations.
