Deputy Minister for Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Olexandra Azarkhina, met with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Development and Regional Policy of Poland, Jadwiga Emilewicz. The meeting focused on creating a special action plan (white paper) to address issues related to the participation of Polish businesses in Ukraine's reconstruction and, conversely, Ukrainian businesses in Poland.

"We have always been and remain strategic partners with Poland. Today, as a result of productive discussions, we have taken a step towards eliminating possible obstacles in our cooperation. The potential problems faced by Polish businesses in Ukraine are mostly common issues for any foreign business involved in the reconstruction of our country. The special action plan will help identify these problems and address them swiftly. This will make the reconstruction more transparent, as there will be a clear mechanism for overcoming obstacles to participation in the reconstruction," stated Olexandra Azarkhina during the meeting."

To develop the plan, a joint Ukrainian-Polish working group will be established, with the participation of representatives from ministries and other central executive authorities. Olexandra Azarkhina mentioned that the Ministry has already received a list of candidates from relevant central executive authorities who potentially will be part of this working group. Therefore, work in this format can begin in the near future.

During the meeting between Olexandra Azarkhina and Jadwiga Emilewicz, they also discussed continuing cooperation in the field of regional policy. This involves support for creating relevant strategic documents and updating the State Strategy for Regional Development. The Polish side also indicated its plans to introduce training for Ukrainian representatives in the field of regional policy next year. The Polish side stressed that regional-level cooperation is an extremely important priority.
