On January 9, during the visit of the Ukrainian delegation to African countries, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola Solsky, met with the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Infrastructure and Food Sovereignty of the Republic of Senegal, Ali Nguye Ndiaye.

The parties discussed the prospects of relations between Ukraine and Senegal and the development of cooperation in the agricultural sector.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was concluded between the Ministries of both countries in agriculture.

The document envisages the development of bilateral trade in agricultural products, cooperation in the field of scientific research, and investment, as well as relations between state institutions and private organizations.

Mykola Solsky noted that, despite the war, the Ukrainian side is making maximum efforts to export food to African countries in the necessary volumes. According to him, Ukraine is ready to increase the volume of exports of agricultural products and is prepared to consider the possibility of implementing new logistics projects in Senegal.

In particular, it is about the possibility of storing Ukrainian grain in the so-called grain hubs. Their creation will contribute to the predictability of sales, stabilize food prices for African countries, and provide confidence in the necessary volumes and quality of grain.

The visit of the Ukrainian delegation led by the Minister of Agricultural Policy Mykola Solsky is aimed at deepening cooperation with African countries in agriculture.
