Ukraine and the EU are strengthening cooperation in the field of humanitarian aid

Ukraine and the European Union will strengthen cooperation on humanitarian aid. A number of issues were discussed between the parties.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

In particular, Deputy Head of the SES Volodymyr Demchuk took part in the 5th EU Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) in Brussels. During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:

  • integrating humanitarian aid with Ukraine’s recovery,
  • funding humanitarian needs for 2025,
  • coordinating support from the European Union.

 

Additionally, during a separate meeting with the Director-General of DG ECHO, Maciej Popowski, an agreement was reached on expanding cooperation, particularly in the field of civilian security.

"The State Emergency Service of Ukraine continues to coordinate international assistance to ensure the safety of Ukrainians," the statement said.
