As of August 5, Ukraine has accumulated over 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

This was reported by the consulting company ExPro.

"Natural gas reserves in Ukraine's underground gas storage facilities (UGS) exceeded 10 billion cubic meters on August 5, according to ExPro data. The storage facilities are 32.3% full," the statement reads.

It is noted that, for the first time since the beginning of the year, the lag behind the 2024 reserve levels is less than 10%. Specifically, compared to last year, 9% or 990 million cubic meters less gas is stored in the facilities.

At the same time, in July 2025, 1.9 times more natural gas was injected into storage than in July last year — 1.69 billion cubic meters. At the beginning of August, injection volumes remain around 50 million cubic meters per day, which is 1.8 times higher compared to last year.

It is emphasized that to accumulate 13.2 billion cubic meters of gas in storage by November 1, Ukraine needs to inject about 3.2 billion cubic meters during August–October.
