Ukraine ranks fourth in Europe for startup support, according to the 2024 report by the European Startup Nations Alliance (ESNA). The ranking evaluates how effectively countries create conditions for the development and scaling of tech companies.
Ukraine joined the ESNA initiative in November 2024 and has already shown impressive results: it placed fourth among 24 EU countries for startup support, surpassing the European average by 12%.
Ukraine earned maximum points for implementing the following standards:
Speed of online business creation. Opening a business in just a few minutes is no longer a dream, but a reality thanks to Diia.
Access to funding. The Ukrainian Startup Fund has been recognized as a model of effective startup support policy. The fund has already issued 570 grants totaling ₴423 million to launch breakthrough tech companies and foster innovation in Ukraine.
Availability of digital government services. We are creating the most convenient ways to run businesses online, allowing Ukrainians to forget about queues and piles of paperwork. With digitalization, everything is convenient and transparent.
Stock options and favorable taxes. Ukraine has created a legal and tax environment for tech companies through Diia.City. Among many benefits, residents have access to tools for attracting investments.
Once again, the digital state proves its effectiveness in international rankings and strengthens its leadership position on the global innovation stage.
