The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has received 10 ambulances for providing emergency medical assistance during the war from the Government of Korea. The vehicles will be used to provide necessary aid to patients requiring life support measures during transportation to hospitals and between hospitals.

"During almost two years of full-scale war, Russia has damaged 103 emergency medical vehicles, destroyed 258, and captured 125 more. And this is happening at a time when the need for ambulances has sharply increased. Additionally, medical infrastructure is constantly under attack and shelling from the enemy. Our task, despite everything, is to provide patients with the necessary medical assistance. We thank all partners for their reliable support and assistance. The 10 ambulances provided by the Government of Korea will help our heroic medics save even more lives," said the Minister of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko.

The emergency medical vehicles are equipped with facilities that allow for vital assistance to be provided to patients during medical transportation.

"We hope that thanks to the ambulances provided by Korea, it will be possible to save more precious lives. Furthermore, our Government will continue to provide practical support in the medical and rehabilitation fields for the people of Ukraine in the future," noted Kim Hyung Tae, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine.

Overall, Korea plans to donate 100 ambulances. In December of last year, Ukraine already received 30 ambulances, with another 70 to be delivered by the end of March of the current year.

Since the start of the full-scale war, Korea has repeatedly assisted Ukraine's healthcare system by sending vaccines, medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals.
