The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has received 70 more ambulances from the Government of Korea to provide urgent medical assistance during the war. Previously, Ukraine had already received 30 vehicles, so Korea has now provided a total of 100 vehicles as humanitarian aid.
These ambulances will be used to provide necessary assistance to patients who require life support during transportation to hospitals and between hospitals.
The ambulances are equipped with facilities to provide life-saving assistance to patients during medical transportation.
"The ongoing full-scale war has significantly increased the need for vehicles for the rapid evacuation of the injured. At the same time, our medical infrastructure is constantly under shelling and attacks by the Russian army. Currently, more than 500 emergency vehicles have been destroyed, damaged, or seized by the enemy. We thank the Government of Korea and Ambassador Kim Hyung Tae personally for supporting our medical system and providing assistance. The donated ambulances will help our heroic medics continue to save lives under any circumstances," said Viktor Liashko, Minister of Health of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Korea has repeatedly assisted Ukraine's healthcare system by sending vaccines, medical supplies, and medicines.
