On Friday, October 27th, Ukraine successfully repatriated the remains of 50 deceased servicemen to the territory under its control.

This information was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for Prisoner of War Affairs.

According to the announcement, "Today, as a result of repatriation measures, the Ukrainian side managed to return the remains of 50 deceased defenders of Ukraine to the territory under its control."

It is noted that the Armed Forces will ensure the proper and safe transportation of the bodies to be handed over to law enforcement authorities and forensic experts for the organization and conduct of investigative actions and forensic examinations.

For reference, the Coordination Headquarters for Prisoner of War Affairs (KSHPOWA) was established on March 11, 2022, according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 257.
