Twelve children who had been under the pressure of Russian occupation have been returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
This was reported by Andriy Yermak, Head of the President’s Office, on Telegram.
According to Yermak, among those rescued were children who endured unbearable trials: a 16-year-old girl who lost her mother due to the negligence of the occupying forces’ medical system, a 17-year-old boy who was drafted into the Russian army, children subjected to attempts at Russification through "re-education camps," and an 8-year-old girl who was almost taken away from her father for refusing to accept Russian citizenship.
The Head of the President’s Office expressed sincere thanks to the partners at Save Ukraine for their professional work and dedicated assistance in organizing the rescue mission.
"Every child saved is a victory. And we continue to carry out the President’s task—to bring all children home to Ukraine," he emphasized.
