Ukraine won its first-ever medal in freestyle big air at a World Cup event, which took place in Steamboat, USA.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Kateryna Kotsar claimed the silver medal in big air at the U.S. stage of the Freestyle Skiing World Cup.

 

 

The Ukrainian freestyler finished 8th in qualification and reached the final for the first time this season, where she performed extremely difficult jumps: a Left Double Cork 1080 Safety Grab and a Switch Left Bio 900 Safety Grab.

With a total score of 152.50 points from two runs, Kateryna secured the silver medal.

The gold medal was won by Naomi Urnes of Canada (156.25 points), while Rui Yang of China took bronze (148.50 points).
