Since the beginning of 2026, the State Special Transport Service, following orders from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, has installed 1,066 km of anti-drone protection along key logistics routes.
In particular, during the summer period — from the beginning of June to the present day — in frontline regions:
- 325 km of anti-drone protection has been built, with more than 31 km restored;
- nearly 233 km of roads have been repaired.
Overall, since the start of restoration works in April, more than 369.6 km of roads have undergone maintenance and operational repairs. Work is currently ongoing on 16 sections, while another 27 sections have already been fully completed.
The Ministry of Defense is expanding anti-drone protection along roads used daily by the military to transport ammunition, equipment, and reserves, as well as to evacuate wounded personnel.
In modern warfare, logistics routes are among the primary targets of Russian forces. Therefore, protection against drones directly affects the resilience of military supply chains.
Protected road sections allow resources to be moved faster and more safely, helping maintain the pace of combat operations. Secure logistics are one of the key factors ensuring the resilience of Ukraine’s Defense Forces. That is why the Ministry of Defense is strengthening the deployment of anti-drone protection along frontline routes.
