Ukraine is increasing electricity imports for the second month in a row

In November 2025, Ukraine increased electricity imports by 15% to 415,000 MWh compared to October, when imports had also risen.

According to the industry publication ExPro, Hungary continues to account for the largest share of imports at 44%. Compared to October 2025, imports from Slovakia surged tenfold, and imports from Moldova doubled.

 

 

At the same time, electricity imports from other directions decreased, most notably from Poland, which fell by 23%.

Compared to November 2024, Ukraine increased electricity imports by 150%. Electricity exports in November dropped by 94%, and deliveries abroad were completely halted from November 11.

Overall, only 5,200 MWh were exported during the month, the lowest figure in 2025. Compared to November 2024, exports fell by 91%.
