The Ministry of Defense has codified anti-drone ammunition produced by several Ukrainian manufacturers, enabling the launch of full-scale serial production for the needs of the Armed Forces.
Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on Facebook.
“We are scaling up the production of anti-drone ammunition for our defenders,” he stated.
According to the minister, the Defense Ministry has already codified these rounds from several Ukrainian producers, and they are ready for serial manufacturing. The new ammunition will allow Ukrainian forces to counter enemy FPV drones and Mavic-type drones more effectively.
“Their key feature is a special warhead that significantly increases the chances of downing a Russian drone. Moreover, no additional weapons are required — the rounds can be used with standard equipment,” he explained.
Shmyhal added that work continues on expanding the range of modern munitions.
“We are working to ensure that even more new and effective weapons enter the arsenal of our troops, strengthening their combat capability and Ukraine’s defense,” the minister concluded.
