For the second time, the Ukraine Pavilion will be showcased at the renowned Gamescom 2024, taking place from August 21 to 25 in Cologne, Germany, as reported by AIN.UA.
Ukrainian gaming studios, service companies, and startups will once again present their projects on the international stage. The pavilion is organized by Games Gathering conference, GDBAY platform, and VG Entertainment studio.
Ukrainian companies participating in Gamescom 2024:
Game Developers:
- Hologryph: A Lviv-based company known for Party Hard 2 and the multiplayer game Secret Neighbor. Currently, they are working on SAND, a large PVPVE game where users explore a fallen planet filled with anomalies alongside other players.
- KAVA Gaming: An outsourcing company gaining momentum in the gaming industry, ensuring visual excellence and consistency in projects.
- PlayToMax: An HTML5 game developer with over twelve years of experience, specializing in high-quality cross-platform games and advertisements. The studio creates custom games and ports projects from other platforms to HTML5.
- GSC Game World: A Ukrainian video game developer with offices in Ukraine and the Czech Republic, founded in 1995, known for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. strategy and the Cossacks series. The studio is currently focused on the upcoming release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, whose release has been delayed.
- UGI Studio: A boutique full-cycle game development and art production company offering full-cycle game development, art production (2D/3D/UI/UX), and VFX/animation (2D/3D) to their clients.
- Twigames: An independent game studio based in Kyiv, providing a full range of game development services, including programming, 2D/3D art creation, game design, and more.
Service Companies:
- WMG International (adWMG): Specializes in creating software products for automated monetization of mobile apps, web resources, and CTV. They service approximately 9,000 websites and 10,000 mobile apps, are an official Google MCM partner, IAB technical supplier, TCF 2.2 compliant, TAG verified, and certified as a DSP on the Prebid platform.
- QPM: An ecosystem for strategic and operational management, with the mission to create the world’s first AI-based project management system, addressing the challenges many organizations face in effectively managing project development processes, often requiring the use of multiple tools (2-5) while still struggling to complete tasks on time.
Last year, the Ukrainian Pavilion made its debut at Gamescom, with organizers aiming to showcase the high level of achievement in the Ukrainian gaming industry, demonstrate innovative domestic developments, support Ukraine’s image, and attract industry-specific investments from international partners.
Gamescom is one of the largest gaming and pop culture conferences globally, held annually in Cologne, Germany. It is considered the most extensive in terms of visitor numbers and exhibits. Presenting a development there offers the opportunity to gather potential partner contacts, promote products, and enter the global market.
