Ukraine has purchased 12,000 doses of a radiation sickness medication from the Israeli company Pluri in case of a nuclear threat.
This was reported on Telegram by the Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, citing The Times of Israel.
“Israeli company Pluri has signed a contract with a Ukrainian cord blood bank for the supply of the PLX-R18 drug, intended for the treatment of radiation sickness. The medication helps restore platelets, as well as red and white blood cells damaged by radiation exposure,” the diplomat quoted the publication.
It is reported that Ukraine will receive a total of doses sufficient to treat 6,000 people.
The medication will be stored in case of a nuclear threat and, if necessary, distributed to hospitals throughout the country.
