On September 28, the Government of Ukraine received EUR 500 million in EU grant funds within the framework of the Contract on State Development and Strengthening of Stability - III, signed by the Parties on September 5, 2022.
The funds were directed to the general fund of the State Budget and will be used to cover the financing of the most urgent state expenditures, in particular to cover social and humanitarian needs.
Part of the funding will also be used to support food security and strengthen the economic stability of the country by ensuring the uninterrupted production of agricultural and food products, including by supporting the access of small farms to working capital.
"I am grateful to the European Union for its steadfast support for the Ukrainian people. This grant funding will help to provide the financing of priority state expenditures without increasing the pressure on the expenditure part of the state budget," said the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko.
