After the “Rammstein” meeting, Ukraine has reached new agreements with international partners, including funding for the purchase of American weapons, expansion of Ukrainian drone production, and new air defense systems.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his evening video address:
“I am expecting a detailed report from Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal regarding Rammstein. I was in contact with him today,” he noted.
The head of state reported that there are now results regarding new air defense systems for Ukraine.
He also mentioned partners’ readiness to continue funding the PURL programme for purchasing American weapons.
“We are also agreeing on additional funds for the production of our Ukrainian weapons, including long-range drones, so that Russia feels what a response to war looks like,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The president added that work is ongoing to equip the brigades.
“I thank everyone who helps us. I thank everyone who understands that Russia only listens to strength and reckons only with the strong. Ukraine, all of our Europe, all our partners must be strong. And we are counting on a strong reaction from the United States of America,” he added.
