Ukraine to remain Europe’s Largest raspberry exporter for second consecutive year

Ukraine to remain Europe’s Largest raspberry exporter for second consecutive year

Over the past eight years, Ukraine has been steadily increasing its exports of frozen raspberries, and 2025 will be no exception.

In an interview with SEEDS, Taras Bashtannyk, president of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association, stated:

“I believe that for the second year in a row, we are the largest exporter of raspberries in Europe, surpassing both Poland and Serbia. Most likely, we will once again take first place in raspberry exports to the EU,” he predicted.

He added that while the association does not yet have final statistics, available data supports this assumption.

“Overall, things are going very well with raspberries — the outlook is very promising,” Bashtannyk emphasized.

According to him, the price of raspberries this year is about 20% higher than last year.

“There were some losses — possibly around 20%. The first wave of remontant raspberry shoots was damaged by spring frosts, so the early harvest wasn’t collected. That accounts for the losses. The rest of the raspberry crop in Ukraine remained unaffected,” he concluded.
