Ukraine will strengthen anti-drone defense for the Czech Republic

Ukraine will provide the Czech Republic with information to strengthen its anti-drone defense and defense production. In Prague, this is seen as a major step forward.

This was stated by Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macek at a joint briefing in Kyiv with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha.

“We discussed Czech priorities. One of them is strengthening anti-drone defense. I believe it’s clear that no one in the Czech Republic can help as much as the Ukrainian experience, developed under wartime conditions. I am very glad to have the opportunity to visit a place where the most advanced drone technologies are being developed, and also very glad to take my colleagues there, who will deliver valuable information for our industry and security,” said the Foreign Minister. Macek thanked Ukraine, which is willing to help the Czech Republic while it is itself at war. In his view, this is a major step forward.

Another topic discussed with Sybiga was the initiative to supply ammunition. The minister emphasized that the sides reached a compromise consensus, ensuring its continuation.

He added that it was important for him to establish contacts with the Ukrainian side as quickly as possible, given the situation on the battlefield and the fact that the Ukrainian minority is the largest in the Czech Republic.

“This requires much stronger and more intensive diplomatic discussions and cooperation,” emphasized the head of Czech diplomacy.
