Ukroboronprom and the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KDA) have agreed to cooperate in strengthening Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
The partnership involves integrating existing and future domestic short- and medium-range air defense systems into the NASAMS infrastructure. Specifically, Ukrainian developments will operate alongside Norwegian command and control modules.
Previously, KDA representatives held preliminary talks with their Ukrainian counterparts and assessed their production and scientific-technical capabilities.
“The development and scaling of our air and missile defense systems is one of Ukroboronprom’s undisputed priorities. Together with Norwegian arms manufacturers, we are taking a new step toward building a strong air shield to reliably protect strategic facilities and civilian infrastructure. I am confident that cooperation with KDA will become another example of successful international partnership,” said Oleh Huliak, Director General of the Joint Stock Company Ukrainian Defense Industry.
