Lviv studios Sanina Arch Club and Gubar Architects made it to the top 10 cottages of 2024 according to Dezeen with their Krasnyk House project in the Carpathians.
The house combines Hutsul traditions with modern materials such as black metal and concrete.

The exterior of the cottage harmoniously blends with the landscape, resembling traditional Hutsul huts. The interior is distinguished by panoramic windows, dark wood, and a cozy atmosphere.

Completed in 2020, the project was presented during the war to emphasize the importance of Ukrainian culture in the face of Russian aggression. The architects aimed to create a space that preserves authenticity and comfort.
"We think that this project is still very important to share," they told Dezeen. "During Russian aggression, Ukrainians have to defend not only our land but also our culture and traditions."
