The window display at the Hermès boutique in Kansai Airport (Osaka), Japan, is now adorned with the work of Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Waone Manzhos.

The artist shared this information on his social media on May 6th.

According to the artist, the project took 14 months to complete.

"The story behind these windows is about the aspects of Duality - Light and Dark or Day and Night. The window oriented to the South is dedicated to the Day and Light; the North window is for the Night," he explains.

For the DTF Magazine publication, the artist explained that he suggested to the brand to choose characters from his already completed works—those that would be close to the brand's philosophy.

The project took place remotely between New York, Paris, Kyiv, Hong Kong, and Osaka. One of the Japanese studios was responsible for the production of the artwork.

The sculptures will be displayed in the boutique for a year.

Since 2004, Vladimir Manzhos has been a member of the street art group Interesni Kazki (in partnership with Oleksiy Bordusov). Together, they created over 100 works in Ukraine and made their debut in 2011 at the Miami Art Basel. Their works have also appeared on building walls around the world, including in Istanbul, New York, Baltimore, Atlanta, Mexico, and Ibiza.

In 2014, The Huffington Post recognized Interesni Kazki as one of the top 25 street art artists worldwide. The duo existed for 12 years and disbanded in 2016.

Nowadays, the artist is known under the pseudonym WaOne and works on murals independently.
