Ukrainian circus artists have won nine awards at prestigious international festivals in Latina, Italy — the 26th International Circus Festival of Italy and the 4th Italian Festival of Circus Talents.

According to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, over 100 performers from 18 countries took part in the festivals, presenting 24 outstanding acts.

The Ukrainian team once again confirmed the high level of the national circus school, winning five out of nine possible awards at the 26th International Circus Festival of Italy.

Gold went to Kateryna Korneva (aerial pole), silver to the duo Artur & Esmira, and bronze to Danylo Lysenko, Duo Polishchuk, and Three G’s.

In addition, at the 4th Italian Festival of Circus Talents, held on 6–10 November in Latina, Ukrainian performers also secured three prize-winning places.

Gold was awarded to Viktoria Voitko, silver to Veronika Nepomniashcha, and bronze to the duo Elmaks. Ukrainian participants also received special festival awards: the Wintergarden €500 prize went to Viktoria Voitko, and the Marcelo Marcetti Prize to Veronika Nepomniashcha.

Serhiy Kabakov, General Director and Artistic Director of the State Circus Company of Ukraine, who represented the country on the jury of both festivals, highlighted the high level of professionalism of Ukrainian performers. He noted that participation in such events not only showcases the talent of Ukrainian artists but also strengthens cultural ties and enhances Ukraine’s reputation on the global stage.

The Ministry of Culture emphasized the importance of the fact that the International Circus Festival of Italy does not accept participants from Russia, demonstrating a clear position of the international circus community — support for Ukraine, solidarity, and understanding of who the true bearers of peace and art are.

Both festivals were held with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture.
