As part of the BALTEXPO 2025 international exhibition, a delegation from the State Enterprise Sea Ports Administration of Ukraine and its Odessa branch visited the administration of the Port of Gdańsk in Poland.

The Ukrainian delegation toured one of the European Union’s most dynamic ports, including a visit to the port waters and an overview of infrastructure projects such as the Baltic Hub container terminal, which is being expanded to a capacity of 4.5 million TEU.

During the meetings, both sides discussed areas for further cooperation:

From the Ukrainian side, sharing experience in port operations under martial law and managing complex security challenges.

From the Polish side, insights into strategic planning for the Port of Gdańsk through 2060, as well as approaches to international cooperation and integration into European logistics and cargo transit networks.

The delegations agreed to continue preparations for a Sister Ports Memorandum of Cooperation between Odessa and Gdańsk, which will serve as a foundation for developing partnership relations and implementing joint projects in port operations.
