The cargo turnover of Ukrainian ports amounted to nearly 67 million tons over 8 months.

According to the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) report, from January to August 2024, Ukrainian sea ports processed 66.8 million tons of cargo. This figure is significantly higher compared to the same period in 2023, when the volume of processed cargo was 37.7 million tons.

“Overall, 41.7 million tons of the processed cargo consisted of products from the Ukrainian agricultural sector, highlighting the sector's importance to the national economy,” USPA noted.

In August 2024, Ukrainian ports handled 6.8 million tons of cargo, more than double the results of August 2023, with 4 million tons being agricultural products exported to international markets.
