Ukrainian supermarket chain Silpo will cooperate with Italian Trade Agency
The Silpo grocery supermarket chain, member of Fozzy Group (Kyiv), has signed a cooperation agreement with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) to promote Italian brands and goods.
According to the company’s press release, the parties will work together to promote Italian brands and products, contrast the “Italian sounding” trend (the use of Italian fake brands for not original Italian products), and raise the awareness of the Italian cuisine and the quality of products from Italy.

About the agreement, the Head of the Own Import Department Svitlana Schehrykovych said that the Silpo chain, will promote existing and new Italian food brands to Ukrainians, as well as further develop the Positano restaurant, part of the Fozzy Group.
According to the ITA office, the Italian National Institute of Statistics in 2020 recorded an increase in imports of Italian goods to Ukraine by 27%, or by EUR 208 million compared to the previous year. In the total volume of imports of Italian goods, food products accounted for 12.3%.
